Joseph E. Ankus, Esq.
Joe has been a legal search consultant since 1991 and is the President of Ankus Consulting, Inc. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, magna cum laude, with a concentration in Communication Systems and a minor from the Wharton School in Marketing. He graduated from the University of Florida College of Law, with honors, and was a Senior Editor of the Florida Law Review.
Before becoming a legal recruiter, Joe was an associate with two of the nation’s largest law firms- Dechert in Philadelphia and Holland & Knight in Miami. In addition, from 2005-2016 Joe was the Executive Director of the National Association of Legal Search Consultants (NALSC) which is comprised of approximately 200 legal recruiting firms across the nation. Prior to being selected as Executive Director, Joe was a long-standing NALSC Board Member and Past Chair of the Ethics Committee.
Joe was born and raised in Miami Beach, Florida and enjoys fishing, poker, coin collecting and travel.
Stephanie Harte Ankus, MBA
Stephanie has been a legal search consultant since 1996 and is the Vice President of Ankus Consulting, Inc. Also, she is the current Executive Director for the National Association of Legal Search Consultants (NALSC) which is comprised of approximately 200 legal recruiting firms across the nation. She graduated from Brandeis University with a concentration in Computer Science and earned her M.B.A. (with a concentration in accounting/finance) from NYU.
Prior to joining the firm, she worked on Wall Street as a financial analyst with Credit Suisse/First Boston, a financial specialist with FMC Corporation in Philadelphia and a senior financial analyst with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines in Miami.
Stephanie is a native of Cherry Hill, New Jersey who enjoys solving logic puzzles, traveling, and creating customized crossword puzzles for individuals, trade associations and corporations.
Alice Perez
Alice has been a legal search consultant since 1999 and is a senior recruiter with Ankus Consulting, Inc. She graduated from the University of Miami with a concentration in Systems Analysis. Prior to joining the firm, she worked in the real estate division of a regional mortgage company and also ran a successful retail business for many years.
Alice is a native of Miami who works closely with associates in the areas of litigation, real estate, and corporate practice. She enjoys traveling, everything associated with Disney World and playing piano.
Jennifer W. Dobin, Esq.
Jennifer graduated from the University of Miami School of Law and earned her B.A., magna cum laude, from Barnard College in New York City. Before becoming a legal recruiter, Jennifer practiced real estate community association law with a boutique law firm in Miami.
Jennifer specializes in placing all levels of attorneys at law firms and corporations. A longtime resident of South Florida, she holds several leadership positions in various community organizations and institutions.
